Kendra is a three-time Helen Hayes award winner for Outstanding Costume Design. She has designed well over 100 productions, including International, NYC, DC, and Regional stagings of theater, opera and dance.

In addition to her Helen Hayes awards, Kendra is a Princess Grace Honorarium recipient and a member of United Scenic Artists. She has been a Draper and a Costume Shop Manager, and has held faculty, lecturer, and adjunct positions at Gallaudet University, University of Pittsburgh, Howard University, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
